The "fine print" description of insurance policies is actually now a bit outdated. Most insurance policies, most likely ALL personal insurance policies, have been changed to plain language formats. Even on this basis, they are not the most enjoyable read and most people just don't. Even reading through a policy may tell you what you are or are not insured for. Unless you are very familiar with the various risks and exposures you face every day and be able to relate those risks to your insurance policy, it is of little help. Besides, that's what insurance brokers do.
